Claude Guérin, head of Strategy, Rates & Countries, Senior Portfolio Manager – Paris
Claude Guérin is a senior portfolio manager, specialising in interest rates and country allocation for the Sovereign & Aggregate debt team. Claude is in constant contact with the Macro Strategy team and brings a fundamental macroeconomic view to the Sovereign & Aggregate team. Claude manages the Parvest Bond Euro Government flagship fund.
He joined BNP Paribas Group in 1991, initially working for brokerage subsidiary Courcoux Bouvet. In 1995, he moved to BNP Paribas Asset Management’s French Fixed Income team, where he was responsible for French bond investments. He previously worked as bond manager for Banque West LB (Franco-Allemande, 1990-1991) and held a similar position with a subsidiary of MAAF, a French mutual insurance company (1985-1990). He began his career with Crédit Mutuel du Sud-Ouest in 1982.
Claude is a graduate from French business school Ecole Supérieure de Commerce et d’Administration des Entreprises in Poitiers (1981).
