Guy is CIO of Equities at BNP Paribas Asset Management. He is in charge of active equities, including convertibles, and is also responsible for ESG research. His responsibilities include global and regional equities (Europe, US, Japan) and global emerging market equities. He has oversight responsibility for all activities relating to the management and performance of the equities investment teams, products and portfolios. He is responsible for challenging the strategies and processes of the various investment teams. He joined our company in 2008, via BNP Paribas Asset Management’s acquisition of FundQuest, and is based in London.
Prior to joining us, Guy was a founding partner and co-Chief Executive of MM Asset Management Ltd (formerly Attica Asset Management Limited), which was acquired by IMS in late 2005. In 2008, IMS was acquired by FundQuest, BNP Paribas Asset Management’ multi-management arm, where Guy was appointed Head of Research. He began his career as an investment consultant at Mercer Investment Consulting, where he was involved in manager research and in providing advice to the trustees of a wide range of defined benefit and defined contribution corporate pension schemes.
Guy has 23 years of investment experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Economic History from Bristol University in the UK. He also is an Associate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP).
